Switching Gears for a While

Since the meltdown on my last post, I've gone on an eating bender and have been a bit depressed about not only my weight, but financial issues and issues with my living situation.

I still have some fresh fruit/veg that I plan to juice before they start to rot, but im trying to juice around my roommates' schedules and do it when they are out so that I dont feel like im disturbing them. It's been hard because they seem to be staying home more lately and watching movies, so then I feel like a jackass running my loud ass juicer. So I just try to avoid that situation by waiting for them to leave.

That is one of the big reasons that once I use up all the fresh produce I currently have that I will not be juicing again until I get my own place. Its just not conducive to my current living situation. Things are already awkward and that is just one more awkward situation I can do without.

I also dont live near a bus stop and havent been making enough money to afford to call a cab to go to the grocery store every week for fresh produce. I feel weird asking my roommates for a ride. One of the requirements of my next place will be a closer proximity to a bus stop.

I have come up with a new plan to improve my diet and lose weight. Im just going to go back to counting calories and sticking to a 1200 calorie a day plan.

I share a fridge and fairly small freezer with 2 (soon to be 4) other people, so to avoid being a jackass who takes up all the freezer space, I decided to add canned soups to my diet, even though I hate canned food. The other components of my diet will be Boca patties, fresh apples, and frozen fruits/vegetables.

Due to space, I will only be able to buy a little bit of food at a time, so I'm going to try to have enough money each week to call a cab go shopping. It costs me $12 to go to the store and back via cab. Once I have my own place and fridge, I will be able to cut my shopping trips down to twice a month. (Can you tell I really want my own place?)

Here is the general daily meal plan I will follow:

Lunch
2 boca patties -320 calories
vegetable (frozen) -200 calories
fruit (apple) -100 calories
=620 calories


Dinner
2 boca patties -320 calories
1 can of progresso light low sodium soup -130-200 calories
fruit (frozen or apple) - 100 calories
=550-620 calories

I didnt include breakfast because I usually dont eat breakfast. If I do happen to wake up some morning and want something to eat, I will just eat part of my lunch early.

I wont be able to start this until August 6 for financial reasons, so until then, I will be getting myself used to eating 1200 calories/day by lowering my current food intake. For the past week, I've been gorging on junk that I ordered from Schwan's. So any benefit I gained from the juice fast has been lost.

So to sum it up...I will try juice fasting again when my life circumstances improve and until then, I'm on a 1200 calorie/day plan. I want to add exercise to my regimen, but I feel uncomfortable exercising around my roommates. I dont have much privacy here and I'm a very private person...so I dont know what I'm going to do as far as that goes.
