Juice Fasting Days 1-3

I'm on day 5 right now, but since I'm just starting this blog today, I will tell you what happened on the previous days now.

Day 1: Went to the store. Bought a bunch of fruits and vegetables...and unfortunately some junk food. Came home, ate the junk food...did not juice.

Day 2: Juiced, but got so hungry in the evening that I ate some milled flax, an apple, a pear and a carrot.

Day 3: Juiced, but made and ate flax crackers, sauteed yellow squash in olive oil and brown rice with tomato sauce.

It was hard getting started, and I panicked a little when hunger started to set in...which led to me eating something in the evenings.

If you are starting a juice fast...or any kind of fast, be prepared to feel hunger and have a way to deal with that ahead of time. Realize that you are going to be hungry and that its OKAY!

Calm down, breathe and remember why you are doing this and what the outcome will be. You dont want to have to keep starting over again and again while your weight and health deteriorate.

Take it one day at a time. Remember that it's just food and the reason you are having to do this in the first place is because you have already eaten too much of the wrong food. This time is for fixing the past wrongs you have done by eating those foods. It's a gift to your body, not a deprivation. So tell your mind to shut the hell up, its going to be fine with just juice and you're not going to die.

It's all in your head. So make up your mind that you are going to do this and that no thoughts of panic from your brain are going to make you give up on this.
